  Jill Crawford T.C.R.G. (Utah)

Jill Crawford grew in up Boulder, Colorado where she started dancing with
Maureen McTeggart Hall, ADCRG at the age of six.  For 16 years she
competed solos and teams throughout North America, reaching open
championships and qualifying for the World Championships for the first of
many times at the age of ten.

During summers she attended many camps and workshops taught by
teachers from Ireland and England, two of whom have become famous in the
world of Irish step dancing: Colin Dunn, long-time lead of Riverdance, and
Marie Duffy, choreographer for Lord of the Dance, often called the "most
successful Irish dance teacher and choreographer of modern times."

Jill has performed for the Denver Broncos, Denver Symphony, and the
governor of Colorado, also appearing with Celtic greats such as the
Chieftains, Natalie MacMaster and Siucra.  For three years she danced with
the Denver Michael Collins Irish Pipeband performing with them at Irish
festivals held in as far away as Kansas and Montana.

In addition to Irish dance, music and dance have always played a major role
in Jill's life. She plays the flute and was the drum major for her high school
marching band. She has also studied ballet, tap and jazz and has performed
on stage in all those dance styles. Along with dance, Jill is also an
accomplished vocalist.
Jill started teaching in 1999 in CO and moved to Utah after passing her TCRG exam in 2002.  In 2004 the Crawford School of Irish Dance was born.
She is also the co-director of the Rhythm of Ireland Dance Company which started in 2005.
